ATC Simulator
Cost-effective, flexible solution for ATC simulation
With its small size and large number of features, the Liberty-STAR Voice Communication System (VCS) is well-suited for ATC training and scenario analysis.
To save on hardware costs, the Liberty-STAR VCS takes advantage of the fact that the support positions (those positions within the simulation system that play the role of the pilot) do not require the same equipment as the student operational positions. The support positions can perform all the necessary tasks using the position electronics and readily- available PCs running the Liberty-STAR operator panel software.
When a Liberty-STAR VCS is used in a simulation environment, it can also provide operational backup. It can easily be reconfigured to act as an operational system and reestablish all essential and non-essential communications capabilities.
Comprehensive feature set lets you test every scenario
Whether the focus is on training or scenario analysis, a simulation system should mirror the capabilities of an operating ATC Voice Communication System. This means that users need access to as many features as possible. The Liberty-STAR offers configurable push-button and touch-screen operator panels, and a comprehensive array of features including:
- Selecting telephone lines to answer and initiate calls
- Placing calls on hold
- Call forwarding and ring no answer
- Releasing calls
- Creating progressive or preprogrammed conference calls
- Coupling Air to Ground/Ground to Ground audio
- Transferring AG audio to speaker or headset
- Transferring GG audio to speaker or headset
- Selecting all radio channels
- Connecting operator and supervisor audio for briefings
- Muting the call ringing chime
- Contacting other positions through direct access intercom
- Regrouping radio channels
- Manual ringing and hookflash
- Speed dialing
- Channel label display
- Control squelch
- Channel remote control
